This week is my first full week on Winter break. I have finished the first semester of my second year in college. It is interesting to think about how time flies. It doesn’t feel like it was that long ago that I was getting ready to graduate highschool and had just gotten a job at Starbucks. I wanted it so bad! Now I am coming up on two years there and God has blessed me so much through that job. He has provided more than I could’ve dreamed through it!
Going into the Christmas season, I want to do all the cozy things and watch all the cozy movies! I’ll include my Christmas bucket list below as well as some things I’ve really been enjoying lately. That’s gonna be the tone for this blog. Just a sort of diary that I can look back on and reminisce one day.
Some things I want to do this Christmas break! – Baking once a week. I love to bake but when school is in, I hardly have time for any hobbies at all. Next on my list is oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. – SEW! SEW! SEW! I want to sew and make as much as I can before school starts again. – Christmas movies! I want to watch all the christmas movies and even some not christmas but still cozy movies. – That’s it for now, chances are that list will grow!
I did start sewing a christmas present for my boss yesterday. I decided to make her a quilted laptop sleeve. I am using the Paloma quilted sleeve pattern by wellpressedstudio on Etsy. It was a fun and quick little project to get back into a creative headspace.
Another thing that I have been loving is Pomegranates! @faithsfresh on Instagram made a yogurt bowl with pomegranate seeds, frozen fruit, chocolate, honey, and sea salt that I tried and it is my new favorite way to eat yogurt! I also made a pomegranate smoothie with the leftover seeds and that was just as delicious. Definitely a new favorite winter fruit.

Yesterday I felt like God had laid it on my heart to start studying the book of Jeremiah. I started doing that this morning, here are a few things I learned: – God has had a plan for my life before I was even a thought and each moment has a purpose -God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips who He calls -God calls for immediate obedience.

That’s all for this week. Just a little introduction to what this blog is and what I am up to today. Next week I’ll be back with some fun sewing projects and hang night with friends and whatever else I find myself in!
With Love, Lola ❤
